Biological Sequestration

The process of sequestering carbon in plants, soil or any other organic matter by biological process is termed as Biological sequestration. This natural process is in existence since ages as this was responsible for the formation of extensive coal and oil deposits. Afforestation, reforestation, growing of algae to capture power plant emitted CO2 are some of the ways of biosequestration.
